Hussar Dakar Rally Vehicle Concept

The Hussar Dakar rally vehicle concept gets its inspiration from the Hussars and looks every bit as tough as the warriors. An inspiration that will work well for this vehicle built for off-road endurance racing, the Dakar Rally. It is built to combat the tough terrain, and judging by the looks, it just might.

Interiors have a split level seating, with the driver seated up-front with 180degrees field of vision, while the navigator and engineer sit behind the driver, providing their input. The interesting concept is the work of designer Klaud Wasiak.
Update: We just received word from the designer, and those wings aren’t mere decoration. In Klaud Wasiak’s words, “Inspired by the Winged Cavalry, the swift and agile Hussar Dakar rally vehicle applies the same principles of mobility, adaptability and self-sufficiency sided with an aggressive competitive character. Similar to the KERS system introduced to Formula 1, these hussar inspired wings are constantly creating kinetic (vibrational & translational) energy during the vehicles movement. The engineer manages the advanced winged energy regeneration system and strategically distributes the kinetic energy to components of the vehicle during a race. This system also contributes the team by giving them vehicle incredible air breaking power when all wings are rotated in and upright. Aside from generating kinetic energy, the main weapon of this vehicle is psychological. The wings mounted on the rear of the vehicle make a raw, vicious clatter that will definitely jolt any competitors off their tracks.”
